July is here and God is blessing in many ways. Plans for Church Leadership Training 2008 (CLT) are well underway. This year we have 24 new core conferences for church leaders to attend. God has brought together quality conference leaders to lead CLT 2008.
God is blessing and setting the stage for a great set of conferences for you and all leaders in your church. Begin now. Mark your calendar and be sure the church calendar is cleared for this God-inspired equipping event as well. Visit the new CLT website at: myclt.org |

Why is it that so many Christians fall apart when their lives do? Foundation. The following is Luke 6:46-49 from the Message: "Why are you so polite with me, always saying 'Yes, sir,' and 'That's right, sir,' but never doing a thing I tell you? These words I speak to you are not mere additions to your life, homeowner improvements to your standard of living. They are foundation words, words to build a life on. If you work the words into your life, you are like a smart carpenter who dug deep and laid the foundation of his house on bedrock. When the river burst its banks and crashed against the house, nothing could shake it; it was built to last. But if you just use my words in Bible studies and don't work them into your life, you are like a dumb carpenter who built a house but skipped the foundation. When the swollen river came crashing in, it collapsed like a house of cards. It was a total loss." This sentence leapt out at me: “But if you just use my words in Bible studies and don't work them into your life, you are like a dumb carpenter who built a house but skipped the foundation.” Too many of us (and admittedly myself all too often) open the Word only at a church event. A life cannot be built like that. At least not a healthy life. Jesus is not just a Bible study topic. His words must be worked into our lives if we are to have full and abundant life, if we are to hold together while our world falls apart. |
